About Know-It-All

In the Know-It-All events, attendees enjoy listening to a subject matter expert, nonprofit leader, or relevant speaker discussing topics related to the four C's of civics, civic engagement, civility, and civil rights followed by a Q & A. All our events are geared towards entertainment, education, and analysis with a growth mindset. The social issues are based on topics such as avoiding food waste, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and gun safety. Similar to our other programs, Know-It-All combines an entertaining activity with important social issues in the events.

Discussion Points from Program Speakers

Gun Safety

"I regard gun safety as a four-pronged issue: Political, legislative, health related stemming into the human element.

LEGISLATIVE: Some gun safety legislation has been enacted in some states: i.e. safe storage, microstamping, "red flag," (ERPO, Extreme Risk Protection Order).

HEALTH RELATED: Medical costs for victims. Northwell Health has been giving seminars on gun safety, and producing television ads on safe storage.

HUMAN: By writing, I have tried to address how gun violence has affected survivors as has Mike Kelly and others.

POLITICAL: This the component that needs to be addressed. That is: to emphasize voting for gun safety advocates on the federal level."
